Its a boy! Born April 2, 2013 Meet Diokles Lind aka Zeus
(Dannebrog x EM Saaliyah by Stedinger x EM De Niro )
The Brentano II, Stedinger influence can clearly be seen with a Donnerhall neck he is a super example of modern day breeding with some of the strong Hanoverian & Oldenburg lines! His nick name will be Zeus after his name Diokles meaning glory of Zeus a future God of the Dressage arena dancing on a cloud always above the competition A fitting name for a fancy boy. He will dance around in his liver chestnut coat and beautiful flaxen broom tail flying through the air, he is sure to catch the eyes of all who see him.
The fantastic mare that was imported and raised on our farm has taken her change from Broodmare to Top dressage mount as the champion she is. She was Developing horse champion in 2012 and has won many CDI at the Intermediate level. She will start show Grand Prix this season and will hopefully take Europe by storm soon as well.
Here is the write up from Smart Pak’s webpage
For the FEI Intermediaire-1 Freestyle, there were seven entries. Winning the class with a score of 75.125% was Roffman and Her Highness O, a 10-year-old Hanoverian mare by Hohenstein x Weltmeyer.
Roffman, who owns and runs Lionshare Dressage in Wellington, FL, with Endel Ots, has owned Her Highness O for three years. She found the mare after her career as a broodmare. Despite little knowledge under saddle, she thought the mare was “pretty special,” and developed her with then co-owner Jennifer Lind. She purchased her outright this past August. “I have to thank Jennifer Lind for letting me do that. She made it possible,” Roffman said. The pair won the Developing Horse championship last year. This is only their third CDI international small tour and it was their first freestyle together.
Roffman remarked, “I have to say thank you to Terri Gallo because that freestyle is five years old and it works with every horse. All my stars fell and aligned today because it was not exactly the most well-prepared test! It’s a really great mare and I’m very lucky to have her.
